PURSUE Program — 162 Declassified Pentagon Documents
The U.S. Department of Defense has released 162 previously classified UFO/UAP documents through the PURSUE program. The files include material from FBI, NASA, and the State Department — and are publicly accessible at the National Archives.
The documents cover sightings from the 1940s through the 2000s. No confirmed evidence of extraterrestrial life — but numerous cases classified as "unresolved." Additional batches of documents are expected to follow.

Pentagon-confirmed: FLIR1 video, radar from multiple systems, pilot eyewitness accounts. Commander David Fravor described an object with no exhaust plume, no wings, no rotors — hovering then accelerating instantly.
On March 16, 1967, all 10 Minuteman ICBMs at Oscar Flight went offline simultaneously during a UFO sighting above the launch control facility. Officer Robert Salas testified before Congress in 2010.
Two F-4 Phantom jets scrambled to intercept a bright UFO. Both aircraft experienced complete weapons system failure when attempting to engage. DIA documented the encounter as meeting "all necessary criteria for a legitimate study."
62 children aged 6–12 witnessed a craft land near their school. Harvard psychiatrist Dr. John Mack conducted extensive interviews and found the children's accounts consistent, independent and credible.
Brazil's air force documented over 500 sighting incidents in three months. Objects reportedly fired beams of light causing burns and injuries on local residents. Operação Prato files were classified until 2010.
During Operation Saucer, dozens of residents in Colares suffered burns, hair loss and puncture wounds attributed to beams of light from UAP. Brazilian military physicians documented the injuries. Cases never medically explained.
In August 1990, two hikers photographed a large diamond-shaped craft near Calvine. The UK Ministry of Defence classified six photo prints for 32 years — released only in 2022. RAF pilots also observed the object.
Over December 26–28, 1980, USAF personnel at RAF Bentwaters witnessed a craft land in Rendlesham Forest. Colonel Charles Halt made an official memo to the UK MoD. Elevated radiation readings were recorded at the landing site.

Betty and Barney Hill reported being abducted and examined aboard a craft on September 19, 1961. Separate hypnotherapy sessions produced internally consistent accounts. Barney's compass showed anomalous readings near the car.
On December 9, 1965, a fireball was seen across multiple US states. An acorn-shaped metallic object reportedly landed in Kecksburg woods. Military cordoned the area. NASA lost files after a FOIA lawsuit — a judge ordered new search.
Robert Bigelow's NIDS institute documented extensive anomalous phenomena at the ranch. The Pentagon's AATIP program used Skinwalker as a primary research site — confirmed in declassified documents.
US military tracking video from the Nellis Test Range captures an object moving erratically — accelerating, stopping, changing direction instantaneously. The footage was leaked and later analyzed by aerospace experts.
On November 7, 2006, at least 12 United Airlines employees reported a metallic disc hovering at Gate C-17 before shooting straight up through cloud cover, leaving a perfect circular hole. The Chicago Tribune broke the story after a FOIA request.
On April 23, 2007, two airline captains — flying separate aircraft — independently reported large yellow elongated objects near Alderney. Jersey radar confirmed an unknown contact. UK CAA conducted an investigation.
In January 2008, over 40 witnesses including a police officer reported large silent lights moving rapidly near Stephenville, Texas. FOIA requests revealed FAA radar data showing an unknown object tracking toward President Bush's Crawford ranch.
On March 13, 1997, thousands of Arizona residents witnessed a massive V-shaped formation of lights pass silently over Phoenix. A second event — lights over the city — was attributed to Air Force flares. Governor Fife Symington later admitted witnessing the first formation.
AARO's 2023 annual report documents a UAP incident aboard USS Kearsarge. Sensors tracked an object with no identifiable propulsion. Case remains under active investigation.
Japan's Self-Defense Force issued official UAP reporting guidelines after multiple incidents over the Sea of Japan. The Defense Ministry mandated systematic documentation of all UAP encounters for the first time.
In July 1947, debris from a crashed object was recovered near Roswell. The Army Air Force initially announced a "flying disc" had been recovered — then retracted, claiming it was a weather balloon. The Air Force later identified it as Project Mogul — a classified acoustic surveillance balloon.
162 files released on May 8, 2026 via the PURSUE program at the National Archives. Documents span 1940s–2000s, originate from FBI, NASA, DIA and State Department. No confirmed evidence of extraterrestrial origin — but significant documented incidents classified as "unresolved."
In July 1952, radar at Washington National Airport tracked multiple unknown objects over restricted airspace above the Capitol and White House. Fighter jets scrambled. A press conference was held — the largest UFO press conference until 2023.
AARO's 2023 report documented 366 new UAP cases. 195 resolved, 171 remain unidentified. The most common unresolved category: "UAP — uncharacterized." Pentagon has now tracked over 800 cases since 2004.

In August–October 1951, a semi-circular formation of lights was observed and photographed near Lubbock, Texas. Four Texas Tech professors witnessed the event independently. Project Blue Book investigated.
6 Scientific Anomalies — Recurring UAP Patterns
These characteristics appear across dozens of documented cases and cannot be explained by known physics
Objects observed accelerating from stationary to hypersonic speed in milliseconds — far beyond any known propulsion system. Documented in USS Nimitz, Gimbal and Belgian UFO Wave.
Objects flying at Mach 5+ produce no acoustic signature. At those speeds, a sonic boom should be detectable for hundreds of miles. Documented in Nimitz, Go Fast and Belgian cases.
Vehicle engines, navigation systems and weapons electronics shut down in proximity to UAP. Best documented in Malmstrom AFB (ICBM shutdown), Levelland (multiple vehicles), and Tehran 1976 (weapons systems).
Objects seamlessly transition between air and water with no change in speed or trajectory — as observed in the Aguadilla video and USS Kearsarge encounters. Standard aerodynamics don't apply underwater.
Objects appear to change shape while in flight — documented in the Aguadilla video where one object splits into two. Possibly separate objects or a propulsion effect not visible to standard optics.
Objects appear to react to being watched or tracked — changing course when radar locks on, or approaching aircraft that approach them. Documented in Belgian F-16 radar locks and USS Nimitz encounter.
