Energy System Overview
Pennsylvania is the second largest natural gas producer nationally (Marcellus Shale). The state generates significant fossil fuel revenue. Pennsylvania joined RGGI under Wolf but Republican legislature fought it. Gov. Shapiro has a more cautious approach to carbon pricing.
